You can use any* child clothes (and toddler clothes for that matter) for both genders, you just have to untick the feminine/masculine tag at the top in CAS (where the "everyday" and "athletic", etc. There's a lot of clothes that normally shows up for both boys and girls, and the rest are just hidden. If you pick a dress for a boy, he'll have the same bodyshape as the girls. don't the kids have the exact same body? The only differences are how the clothes are modelled.
